so, i'm in ATL until tuesday afternoon. my step-great grandmother (or something like that) passed away this morning. she had a stroke last friday and no one can believe she stayed alive this long, esp. since she hadn't had anything to eat or drink in a week.
the weird part is that i'm not really upset about it. she was like 95 years old, had developed cancer in the last two years or so, and had to be put in hospice because she was just too old to take care of herself. i feel like that at her age she deserves to die. she tired. she's lived her life.
we'll see how it goes once i'm at the visitation and the funeral with family. i might lose it. who knows.

i still can't believe how amazing simian mobile disco was last night and i feel extremely lucky to have been at their first live show in the US.
on a side note: for the first time ever last night, i somehow managed to lose my phone in the toilet...
luckily, i was able to save my sim card, so i have some people's numbers. unfortunately, not everything was saved to it - so, i need your numbers.

lcd soundsystem was incredible last night. sang and danced and just had a genuine amazing time.
i don't even know what to say about it b/c my fumbled words will just discredit it. i only wish it hadn't been a myspace event. brought some douchey people out.

| car update |

so after a mini-meltdown yest at work after realizing that it may not be worth the expense to fix my car and that i might need to just sell it off for parts and consider investing in a new car, i feel some better. i've had 3 of the same car. i don't want a new car. face it - i love volvos.
anyways - i called several places to see if they could quote me how much it would cost to replace my radiator. i knew it was going to be bad when everyone signed and made groaning noises when i told them what i needed. i'm not expecting to get out any cheaper than $1500... HOWEVER! i called this little dinky gas station/repair shop about 15 miles outside of the city that someone recommended. they called me back today. $450. total. amazing.
so now i just have to figure out how to get the car towed since i stupidly let my AAA expire at the end of feb. and he has to order the parts. hopefully i'll have it back by early next week.
this is such good news considering the week i've had.

took a day trip to centralia to check out the "ghost town" for ourselves. there was still a lot of snow around which made it impossible to get to most of the town, but we were able to see some of it.
